Maintenance and Support

You've invested in the design, now maintain it!

For businesses that need to update their sites and stores often, we offer two options:

Annual Maintenance Plan (*for sites without databases)

  • Once your site is designed, this annual fee would include any text changes or updates that you will be needing frequently. You pay this amount and we add/edit/delete predetermined content (images/text/brochures/newsletters) at your request within 24 hours.

Site Administration (*for sites with databases)

  • We offer an area where you or your employee can login in real time and make changes by adding/deleting/editing areas of webpage information when they need to. This is a great way to keep your website fresh and your content current.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a "Domain Name"?
  • A domain name (Web address) is your Internet identity and your unique online brand. Customers will remember and use this address to find your Web site, your products or your services.

For example, the domain name (Web address) performancesites.com represents the Performance Sites Web site. When you type performancesites.com into a Web browser or send e-mail to someone at performancesites.com, the Domain Name System (DNS) translates performancesites.com into the Internet Protocol (IP) numbers used by the Internet to locate destinations and connects you to Performance Sites.

In general, choose a name and a top level domain (.com, .biz, .us, etc.) that is easy for your employees and customers to remember and makes sense with your business. It can be your company's name, key words describing your business or even a short phrase. All Yahoo! Web Hosting plans come with a free domain with service. Reserve your free domain now!

What is "Hosting"?
  • Once you have a website, it needs to be located (hosted) in a public place (web server) for others to visit get to it. These services are offered by web hosts or hosting companies.

Think of a web host as a landlord. A landlord that builds and maintains a structure, then rents storefronts to various businesses that otherwise cannot afford their own buildings. Each business designs and operates their store differently and leaves building maintenance to the landlord. Likewise, a web host rents space on a web server to various businesses. Each business designs its own web site while the web host maintains the network of web servers.

Back to FAQ's

How much does a "Website" cost?
  • Website prices will vary depending on needs. Its best to make a "wish list" of what you want, then go back and note the things that you can do without. That way know in what direction you are headed and we can give future consideration to your needs. You may be suprised how affordable it may be to add a few of the items in while we are already working on some related issues for you.

New websites with minimal graphics start at $100 each page, including graphics and links and go up from there.

Existing websites coming in for maintenance, usually start at an hourly rate, once we know your needs and usual frequency of changes or edits, we can often get a maintenance plan set for you that gets you all your changes in 24-48 hours without breaking the bank or nickel and diming you about tallying up hours. This is a great arrangement for most businesses who have changes often: travel agencies, jewelers, websites with newsletters, etc.
